Karl Rylander - Acoustic Guitar, Vocals

Karl’s first pro gig was at Butlin’s Holiday Camp at Filey in 1956. He joined a Rock n Roll band called "The Raiders", with Topper In 1961. He was turned on to country music in the late 60’s and sang with various bands including "Threewheel" with Lofty. He also worked as a solo artist and sang backing vocals for several American country stars.

He met up with Topper again in 1969 and sang with an offshoot NYPL called "Sid and Bert’s Thrift Club". He toured with Freddie Star for 17yrs appearing on several of his Rock n’ Roll albums as a backing vocalist.

At a NYPL reunion in 1995, he was invited to join them in the recording of the album "Take Some Music" and just stayed on, as they say.
